Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers correct teeth that are chipped, crooked, or misshaped. Patients who have diastemas (spaces between teeth) can be benefited as well. In this case the patient disliked the shape of her upper right lateral.

Veneers are thin layers of porcelain that are bonded to the front surface of the teeth, leaving the back surface of your teeth intact.

The office and the lab will be able to customize the colour and shape of your veneer to keep your smile natural looking and beautiful! The patient is pleased with the final appearance of her teeth.

The procedure for a porcelain veneer will involve two appointments. During the first appointment the dentist will remove a thin layer of enamel to make space for the veneer. Impressions and a bite registration are taken of your mouth and are sent to the lab. Before leaving the office, a temporary veneer is made to wear home for two weeks. To help you decide the shape and look you desire, we suggest a lab wax up. The lab will use your model and create a wax up of the desired look. This gives you a chance to see how your teeth will ultimately look, and also we can fabricate your temporary veneers directly from this model. You will be able to see the new look in your mouth before the final veneers are made.

The second appointment is completed back at the dental office where the permanent veneer is tried in and adjusted to the satisfaction of the patient and to the dentist before being permanently cemented in place. The office and the lab will be able to customize the perfect shade and shape for your veneer to keep your smile natural looking and beautiful!
